Hi everybody, today we have the bounty hunter gold digger. You can pick this up for a bout $60 to $70 on Amazon.com. It is marketed for the little kids and for people that are just learning the hobby. If you have a friend, family member or even you yourself are unsure if you will enjoy metal detecting, this might be the detector for you.
For $60 to $70 you don’t have to invest a lot for a metal detector. It will go to about five six inches and it will eliminate most trash items. So what else can you ask for, right?
Let’s not get too biased, but in my opinion its a fantastic machine for that price, but you make your own decisions.
Here we’re gonna run over some features of it, run a board test and check out some discrimination and recovery speed on it. The recovery speed on this I will tell you it’s fantastic.
Lets look at the face plate
So you get a little sensitivity meter up there, ignore that, it is junk. It will bounce around anytime, that it beep basically. On the left hand side we have a power meter or a power knob.
Turn it On and Off . It’s of at about the 7 o’clock position, turn it on to about eight o’clock and then you can crank it all the way up to about 4 o’clock position, its max up on sensitivity.
The right knob is the trash Eliminator or discrimination, on off you are looking at about the 8 o’clock position. Turn it on to about 9 o’clock and you can crank that all the way up to 4 o’clock position like the power knob and to the 6 o’clock position.
The Air Test
1943 silver mercury coin – cut off at 5 half inch
Copper penny – cut off at 5 quarter
Nickel – Cut off at 6 quarter
Silver quarter – Cut off at 6order six
So 6 inches on air test, you’re gonna look at about five-and-a-half I’m assuming. You take off about an inch roughly.
There is no determination on soil, certain soils are gonna be just like an air test. If you have a really high mineralized soil you’re gonna get a lot less depth.
This machine is great for a little coin shooter, it’s not super deep. If you got a shallow park, and you are a beginner that just wants to learn, this one is great little detector. You will not gonna go wrong with this.
This machine is a great trash terminators, really great on hit a coins, so if you like dimes, coppers and and quarters you know you will hit them with this for the discriminator all the way up.
I really have a lot of fun with it even though I have more advanced machine from bounty hunter, I still have a lot of fun with this.
I’m not trying to sell anybody, that’s just my personal belief. I really think this is great for $60 t0 $70
This amazing little $60 detector with a seven-inch considered coil passes the nail bord test where i have seen a few videos on YouTube that some $400 to $500 machines totally failed on the nail board test.
I’ve even seen a machine that cost over $1000 do not so well on this test. This is a be and left machine, no pulse induction or anything like that.
If you want to see a live dig with this machine, it got plenty of footage on YouTube.com. You know you don’t wanna keep your F75 or $600 to $700 machines in the truck.
You can throw this in the car or at the back of your truck, you see a nice spot when you drive-by and hop out, you can detect the place real quick.
If they have nice hit you bring it out. A great purpose for that.
This is really great for kids to just start in the hobby but not that small kids 6 to 9 years old, because this machine is a little heavier. So teenagers 11 to 12 years old preteens gonna do great with this.
Also for adults who just getting into the hobby. I’ve only been doing this roughly a year now so I’m not a veteran by any chance but I do have two machines that are better than this and I still use this.
I love this thing, it’s so much fun. For 60 bucks you get about 56 inches maximum depth out of it , it has great discriminator, amazing recovery speed and separation. Take it for what it is, the bounty hunter gold digger. I’m not trying to sell to anybody, make your own assumption and your own conclusion.
